This is a concept animation for the Como Park Zoo and Conservatory's new Seal + Sea Lion project in St. Paul, Minnesota. It features a large Pacific Northwest themed aquatic habitat, refreshment area, underwater viewing, and a smaller side pool for rearing California Sea Lion pups. The amphitheater and larger habitat space allows the staff to work with the pinnipeds and explain their environmental/habitat needs as well as natural and man-made threats to their existence. The habitat provides a familiar place for the Harbor Seals and California Sea Lions to rehabilitate and live comfortably with the veterinary care they need.
